Renting a car in Dubai is the easiest way to see the city on your own schedule. Distances are long, taxis add up quickly and a rental car lets you reach Downtown, Dubai Marina, the desert and Abu Dhabi whenever you want. We are a booking service: tell us your dates and the class of car and we find an available vehicle from a vetted local rental company in Dubai, then book it for you, with no-deposit options, free airport delivery and insurance included.
Which car class to rent in Dubai
Dubai’s fleet covers everything from cheap economy cars to supercars. Pick the class that fits your trip:
- Economy and standard, the most affordable way to get around the city. Cars like the Nissan Sunny or Toyota Corolla are comfortable, fuel-efficient and easy to park.
- SUV and 7-seater, for families, groups and trips to the desert or the mountains in neighbouring emirates. The Nissan Patrol and Toyota Land Cruiser Prado are the local favourites.
- Luxury, a Mercedes S-Class, BMW 7 Series or Range Rover for business travel or a special occasion, with a chauffeur available on request.
- Sports and supercars, Dubai is one of the few places where renting a Lamborghini Urus or Porsche 911 for a day is genuinely popular.
Car rental prices in Dubai
Daily rates depend on the car class, the season and how long you rent. The longer the rental, the lower the daily rate, weekly and monthly tariffs are noticeably cheaper than the daily price. Economy cars start from about $25 per day, SUVs from around $120 and luxury cars from roughly $260. The price table above shows indicative day, week and month rates by class; the exact quote, deposit and mileage limit are confirmed with the partner before you pay.
No deposit and free delivery
A refundable deposit is standard in Dubai, but many local partners offer no-deposit rentals, a strong advantage if you would rather not block a large sum on your card. Free delivery to Dubai International airport (DXB), Al Maktoum (DWC) or your hotel is included with most cars, so you can collect the car the moment you land.
What you need to rent a car in Dubai
To book a car you need a passport, a driving licence and a credit or debit card for the deposit. Visitors usually drive on a national licence together with an International Driving Permit; GCC residents and many European drivers are accepted on their home licence. The minimum age is typically 21–25 and premium cars may require more experience. We confirm the exact documents for your country before booking.
Salik tolls, fines and fuel
Two things catch many visitors out. Salik is Dubai’s automatic road toll, about 4–6 AED each time you pass a gate, charged to you during the rental. Any traffic fines are also your responsibility and are usually settled from the deposit. Cars are normally supplied with a full tank and should be returned the same way. We explain all of this upfront so there are no surprises.
Driving in Dubai
Roads are wide, modern and well signposted and driving is on the right. The main routes, Sheikh Zayed Road, Al Khail Road and Emirates Road, connect the whole city and parking is plentiful (paid in most central areas). With a rental car you can easily reach the Marina, Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai Mall, the desert dunes and Abu Dhabi, about 90 minutes away.
Why book through rentacar-360
We compare vetted local rental companies in Dubai instead of pushing one fixed fleet, so you get a fair local price and clear terms. Deposit, mileage and insurance are agreed in writing before you pay and if your chosen car becomes unavailable you get the same class or better. Send a request or message us on WhatsApp and we’ll find the right car for your trip.
Many of our partners offer no-deposit rentals; others hold a small refundable deposit on your card. We confirm the exact terms before you book.
